Membathat was founded in 2019 by Brooklyn native Jonathan Mejia. The brand is rooted in nostalgia, vintage aesthetics, and the cultural moments that raised us—music, movies, fashion, sports, and street culture. Stories built by immigrants, Black and minority communities, and by people who often didn’t have a clear way out, but found expression, identity, and pride through culture. As an artist, Jonathan grew up immersed in creativity—drawn to vintage clothing, music, movies, travel, and the energy of the streets that raised him. Those influences live in every piece. Each design is a memory, a moment, a feeling—something familiar that connects the past to the present. Membathat exists to bring people together through storytelling. To honor where we come from, preserve community, and keep the culture alive—one memory at a time.
